What to expect

Covid-19 Safety

First time getting a massage?

We have made a few adjustments in order to provide a safer service during Covid-19. That said, please know that receiving massage is not without some risk.

Before your appointment, I'll contact you with screening questions. Please wear a mask into the building.

When you arrive, I'll check your temperature. If you have a fever or symptoms, we will need to reschedule. You will be asked to wash your hands and affirm your responses to the screening questions.

You will be required to have a face covering for the entire massage.

Things you can expect from me:

I will be wearing a mask the entire time

I will reschedule with you if I have symptoms

I clean and sanitize every surface between appointments

The room is aired out between clients

Getting a massage can be a little intimidating! Let me demystify the process for you.

You'll make an appointment. There will be a little paperwork for you to fill out. You can do that over email or come to your appointment a little early and fill it out on paper.

When you come in, we'll talk about why you're here and what you would like to get out of the massage. This is a great time to talk about anything you're worried about, areas you don't want touched, and the kind of pressure you might like.

I'll leave the room for you to get on the table. You can undress to YOUR comfort level, and get between the sheets. I'll keep your private parts covered with the sheet, so you can be totally undressed, leave some underwear on, or keep your parka on if that's how you're most comfortable! (If you think you will want to leave some clothes on, I recommend comfy athletic clothes if you can.)

I'll knock before coming back in to make sure you are covered.

I'll massage you, checking in about pressure and other feedback. I might have you do an active movement, breathe, or visualize to best release tension.

Afterwards, you might be more relaxed or feeling tired. You might be a little sore for the next few days if we do deep work! Try to drink some extra water and have some time afterwards to adjust to any changes in your body.
